Role Overview

You will be the first revenue hire at DeepInspect. Your mission is to generate pipeline, close the first customers, and help build the repeatable sales motion for the company. You will work directly with the founder to convert early pilots into production deployments and sell AI governance infrastructure to SaaS companies building AI-powered products, particularly in regulated industries such as fintech and healthtech.

DeepInspect is building infrastructure for governing AI systems in production. As companies deploy AI agents and LLM-driven workflows, new security, compliance, and auditability risks are emerging. Most organizations currently have no visibility or control over how AI is used inside their applications.

This role is an opportunity to help define how companies govern AI in production environments. As the first GTM hire, you will play a central role in shaping the company's revenue motion, customer relationships, and early market presence.

This role directly reports to the CEO. Success in this role will position you to build and lead the sales organization as the company scales.

Key Responsibilities

  • 0→1 Pipeline Creation: Generate pipeline through outbound, founder-led sales, partnerships, and targeted outreach to growth-stage SaaS companies building AI-powered products.
  • Closing Early Customers: Own the full sales cycle from first conversation to pilot to production deployment.
  • Sales Motion Development: Help shape messaging, ICP targeting, and sales process based on real customer conversations and deal experience.
  • Regulatory Liaison: Translate DeepInspect's technical capabilities into business value for CISOs, security leaders, and platform teams navigating AI governance and compliance frameworks (NIST AI RMF, EU AI Act, DORA, etc.).
  • Strategic Partnerships: Build relationships with AI ecosystem players, compliance tooling companies, and startup accelerators to create distribution and referrals.
  • Founder Collaboration: Work directly with the CEO on deal strategy, product feedback from customers, and shaping the early go-to-market motion.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience: 8+ years in B2B SaaS sales or GTM, with at least 2 years in AI, cybersecurity, or a highly regulated vertical (Fintech/Healthtech).
  • Founder DNA: Comfortable operating in early-stage environments where the playbook does not yet exist. You have operated in environments where you were responsible for building pipeline and closing deals without an existing sales machine.
  • AI Literacy: Familiarity with AI platforms, LLM systems, or modern cloud architectures.
  • High Agency: You take ownership of problems and move quickly from idea to execution without waiting for direction.
  • Ownership Mindset: Motivated by building something from the ground up and sharing in the upside.

Compensation

  • Base: $150,000 - $180,000
  • Founding Equity: 0.5% - 1.5%
  • Commission: 8-10% of ARR closed
  • OTE: $250k+ depending on revenue closed

Eligibility: This role is limited to candidates currently based in the United States who are authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
