Engineer

Role Overview
This is an early-career engineering role for a recent graduate or someone with up to a year of professional experience. You will work directly with the founding engineer and the CEO on features that go into production and get used by customers in regulated environments.
DeepInspect is building infrastructure for governing AI systems in production. It enforces identity- and data-aware policies in real time. Customers run it in their own Kubernetes clusters or use our hosted service.
You will be trained on parts of the stack you have not seen before. The code you write has to hold up in production, and you are expected to own what you ship. There is less process here than at a larger company, so you need to figure things out rather than wait to be told.
This role reports to the CEO.
What You Will Do
You will build and release features across the policy engine, control plane, audit pipeline, and frontend. You will help with customer deployments into Kubernetes clusters (EKS, AKS, GKE) and pick up Helm, ingress, and service mesh on real production environments. When something breaks in a system you touched, you investigate it and ship the fix.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience: Recent graduate in computer science or a related field, or up to one year of professional engineering experience.
- Fundamentals: You know data structures and algorithms well enough to pick the right one under time pressure. You can read unfamiliar code and reason about what it does.
- Programming: You have built something non-trivial in TypeScript, JavaScript, Go, Python, or a similar language. Production experience with Node.js and TypeScript is a plus but not required.
- HTTP Fundamentals: You understand methods, headers, status codes, TLS, and proxies, or you can learn them quickly.
- AI-First Workflow: You use AI tools when you code. You check what they produce and you know when to trust them.
- High Agency: You take problems off the pile and ship them without needing someone to assign the next step.
Compensation
Competitive base salary for the US/Indian market plus meaningful early-stage equity.
